Makka Atta

Makki ki roti with sarson ka saag and a lump of white butter is what winter tastes like in Haryana and Punjab. Our Makka Atta is made from pure makka that comes from the village. We clean the grain the traditional way and grind it fresh on a stone chakki, so the atta is slightly coarse and smells of fresh corn, just like the atta from the village chakki.

Makki dough has no stickiness, so it cracks easily. Knead it well with warm water and pat the roti by hand instead of rolling it. You can also make missi roti, pakora, halwa or porridge with it. Packed at Special Sarv, Hisar, Haryana.
